Mark McKaig is a Partner in Centurion Wealth Management. At Centurion Wealth our personal values are aligned with our client’s values and goals and we are committed to creating high quality, long-term relationships. We take a goals based approach to managing your wealth which involves much more than the performance of your portfolio—it is about how you live your life and the personally meaningful goals you want to achieve. This could be saving for retirement, planning for a college education, saving for a second home, caring for a family member or starting a business.
After 14 years at a regional financial planning firm, Mark joined Centurion Wealth in 2016 to team with Wendy Ann Payne, CSA and Sterling D. Neblett, CFP ®. Mark, Wendy and Sterling have known each other professionally for over nine years and share the same wealth management philosophy. Centurion Wealth’s collaborative team approach provides our clients with enhanced resources and gives us a deeper understanding of our client’s financial planning needs.
Mark spent the first half of his professional career in the legislative and regulatory field. Working first on Capitol Hill and then in a succession of legislative positions, he developed the skills necessary to effect change through detailed planning, compromise and collaboration. Mark brought these skills with him when he entered the financial services industry more than 15 years ago. Much as moving an initiative through the legislative process can take years of hard work, so too can creating, implementing and monitoring a successful financial plan.
Mark currently holds his FINRA series 24 General Securities Principal’s license, and series 7, 63, 66, and Life and Health insurance licenses.
Mark is a second generation Washingtonian. Away from work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Cathy and four active children. Mark lives in Bethesda and is involved in his parish and coaching youth lacrosse. When he does steal a few minutes to himself, he enjoys bicycling, reading and almost anything outdoors.
